DIAMOND GUIDE

Court

Cut: A diamond's cut is crucial to its brilliance and light reflection. A high-quality cut can make a diamond appear larger and hide certain imperfections. Cut grades range from "Excellent" to "Poor." Cuts can also refer to the diamond's shape, such as round, princess, cushion, marquise, oval, radiant, pear, emerald, Asscher, and heart.

Color

Color: Diamonds are graded on a color scale ranging from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Colorless diamonds are the rarest and therefore the most valuable. However, some diamonds can have intense colors, such as blue, green, or red, and these are known as fancy-colored diamonds.

Carat weight:

Carat Weight: The weight of a diamond is measured in carats, where one carat equals 200 milligrams. While size can influence a diamond's value, a larger diamond doesn't always mean it's more valuable. This is because color, clarity, and cut also play a role in its valuation.

In addition to the 4Cs

In addition to the 4Cs, you can also consider a diamond's fluorescence, which is the diamond's reaction to ultraviolet light, and can make a diamond appear whiter or milkier.
